Another Picture of "my" car

So upon request here I display another picture of my "new" car. Its a 2000 Mazda Protege; looks good and drives well. Maybe not the strongest car, but I hope relatively reliable and long lasting.

Yes! So I finally achieved to find a suitable car for my taste. There is a bunch of stuff I'ld like to say about the day - I've had many encounters with troublesome issues, but since I lost the entire text I wrote before I'll just say "Ende gut alles gut" - As long as the end is turns out well, everything is good. I got the car, its just as I had imagined it and I'm all happy.

Back in the US of A

Yup, I'm back again. But since I promised some cool pics of this open air bar I was in I'll just be posting some pics... I'll update the blog with the things that are going on in my life as soon as I get a car and get my resume finshed.

The first picture on the top is of the view from the bar and the one under it shows how the place is set up. During the night the white columns light up with colors such as yellow and red and provides a graet addition to the already awesome athmosphere. You can find more about it here

Last day in Germany :(

So its the last day in Germany. I'm left kinda feeling sad but I'm also in anticipation of the upcoming changes in my life. For one I'll finally have my own car (yeeeees!!!) and I'll be getting an apartment. Additionally there are all the other stuff that are theoretically of more importance than cars and your own apartment - health insurance, car insurance, a JOB, and much more. I;m going to have to be on top of things and manage all my money - which till then was, is and will be more like: "oh, I have money! Lets use it!". I'm really excited and hope things work out fine.

Otherwise, life has been pretty swell. I've been spending a lot of time online looking at different cars and their prices (ouch!). I went out with a bunch of old friends to this really awesome place in town. It wasn't there during my last visit to Wiesbaden so I guess its fairly new...Anyways, its on the top (with that I mean no roof type of top) of the parking lot building (what is it usually called?). They laid out these wooden tiles all over the place, have their own DJ (pretty good music - all trace or house: whatever the difference is...), and there are a bunch of beach chairs. So this place has a great view over the city, looks really trendy, has a beach atmosphere, and is always packed full with people. Oh, and they sell LOTS of drinks!! Why can't people in MN come up with such great ideas?? So the evening was really nice. I enjoyed talking to my old friends and catching up with all the changes that took place. In al it wasl a great evening (and the booze was awesome too :-D )

Today I'm not really sure what I want to do. I have to pack and get ready to leave the country, but the weather is soo nice that I'm thinking of going outside to take some pictures. The area I live in has some awesome old style houses that were build 100 years ago (and have been maintained properly!!). I could go walk around and get some pics of em...Plus I might want to go into town and up onto that car park so I can show off what cool facilities Wiesbaden has to offer :). I'll post those pictures tonight if I have time. Well, I'm off for a walk I guess...

Following the Path of the Knights!

Just two days ago, my parents and I decided to go visit one of my fathers really old friend - she was the daughter of the family that took care of my family right after WWII. After having a cup of tea at her house we proceeded to a monastery up on top of a mountain. The monastery itself was around 700 years old, but absolutely huge!!
I can't imagine how it would be, having to carry all the bricks up the steep hills. The sad thing about the monastery is that it was abandoned in the 1700s after it was damaged during a local conflict. So when I went to see it the entire roofing was missing and everything looked sort of sad.

So after the monastery we went to see Hardenburg, which is a fortificated castle - and this fort we could see from the monastery (look at picture)
This castle was huge! It had its own bakery, huge sleeping quarters, garden, and it even had its own jail! There was also a tower...This tower rises high into the sky and you can see the entire complex from there (this is the last resort tower - where the knights and whoever else goes when the enemy makes it into the central complex of the fort). Thanking God for giving me acrophobia, I forced my cramped legs to get me to the top of this tower and took some pics of the scenery.

Other than that, we walked though the entire (well almost) castle and checked out all the cool rooms it had. Most of the rooms were way dark so that I was wetting my parents once again thanks to claustophobia and whatever the fear of dark thing is called.
After the fort we went to a cafe and had some eis cream, and tea and then returned home. Yeah, I got to drive the cool car again...Sure will miss this car when I get back to the States.

Now this is one sweet ride!

Today my parents and I went to Gummersbach to visit my 83 year old aunt. And not only did I get to see my favorite aunt, eat some awesome German cake(seriously...it was sooo good!!), see the beautiful scenery of the German middle mountains...but I also got to drive my parents sweet car for 2h!

What do you do when evey available activity is boring?

Since being here (Germany) its been a rollercoaster ride. I've had times when I wished that I could add 20 more hours to the day but also other times when I just wanted to dig a hole and bury myself in it because its sooo darn boring. Today was just plain boring. All I did was: play age of empires 2 (yeah...real old...just like me) and installed photoshop CS. I got bunch of friends that are amazing with this prog so I just had to give it a try. And here is the resulting super cool picture(...right). It sucks, I know, but at least I gave it a try. But coming back to the topic of being old...my b-day is tomorrow and I'm not quite sure if I should be happy or sad. 25 years come with some pros though - lower car insurance (yes!); I get to rent cars (time for my first ferrari) and its about time to get married (@#$#!!) - Hey, if you're female and want to apply leave a comment and I'll see if I can set something working! wow, looks like I'm getting desperate :-P ...no, I was just kidding, please no applications.

Back in Germany once again!

So after no footspace for 10 hours straight I finally arrived in Germany. Having not been here for so long, I arrived with hopes that this place will resemble what I used to think of it - my hometown, feeling relaxed, and wanting to stay here instead of going back to the US.
So far there has been none of it. Being home with the parents is nice, but other than that I am really disliking this city. My father and I went shopping this morning and the entire city was packed with lots of people. Butits not the high number of people that is making me not like it here. Its just that the people are NOT NICE! Today, I bumped into this old lady while shopping because I wasn't paying too much attention and she started yelling at me although I appologized to her. She just kept on ranting how the youth today is shit and some other stuff and at the end all I wanted to do at the end was give her a nice good punch in the face. There is nothing better than smacking a person to display that it ain't worth yelling at me when I feeling sorry as it is. Seriously, it was my mistake but you don't have to go yelling at somebody twice your size. God, I wish I could have given her a skull fracture....ok, that might be a bit too much.
Then while walking around the city more I saw many hot girls. This part was initially really nice esp. since I haven't gotten any for the longest time. But damn, when you really look at them you notice that they are little girls (I would say that they were around 16~18) - 18 means that its leagal, but that ain't my shit. Where are all the ~23 year olds!!) The answer is: they are not here - all of people that can get out of here leave as soon as they're able to. So I'm basically stranded here for the longest time without any hope for some fun. JK. Actually a number of my old friends said that they'ld come back to Wiesbaden to see me! So maybe it won't be all that bad. I'll let you (who in the world reads this blog anyhow?) know how things go. Adios

camp rocks

So I've been at this camp for the longest time and am starting to enjoy it...a lot! My campers are the funniest things on the world and all the staff members are great guys. So yeah, this is a little part of the things that I've done so far -
1) Took out a 12day Canadian Canoe trip, which was tough as hell bcs the weather was way too hot but the coolest trip ever
2) Took out a local canoe trip which was fun cause I have the best cabin ever
3) Went to Rainy Lake in Canada with the coolest co-counselor ever - James, a crazy brit that loves porn way too much
4) having a blast - yeah, I am having a great time. and this isn't an attempt to convince myself of it. It really rocks
Alright, I'm getting bored of writing so I quit!

So Christian and I were talking about words that girls don't like. Yeah, its kinda strange but I guess we got started with this when one of us used a certain word that our female friend didn't like. We've been pushing the limits "trying" these words on our poor female friends - sorry, but its for the sake of the improvement of the male vocabulary. So here are the couple of words that seem to be taboo: 1) moist (whats so bad about this one? - the weather here sure is moist and not damp. and why not wet, or dripping) 2) pantie (I somehow understand this one) 3) fabrique (what??) 4) "isch" Guys, be careful not to use these words too much :)
