OMFG WTF is this... I WANT ONE!!!

OMG. My friend Greg found this awesome video - where I don't know. Anyways, I sure as hell can't wait for such devices to come out in the retail world.

Damn apple for getting a patent on this - can't they do one or two things like the linux community?? Ugh!

MONGOLIA

So the following two pics are of this Mongolian girl that I met at a party in Germany. Isaac, if you really do go to Mongolia, this may be the type of girls you'll find there. Though you will also see a really interesting culture - a lot of em still live as normads...Anyways, her aunt lives in Germany and she was there to study fashion - oh, and her aunt was hitting on my father like no other...man, that was a funny sight!

Needless to say - I don't do well with beautiful women. While being around her I was relaxed and it was fun to talk to her...but then later I had a hard time keeping up communication because I'm a loser...gah! Posted by Picasa
Umm, yeah, I think I was drunk.... Posted by Picasa

Update update update update...

Alright, so here is my current job standings:

1) About 5 weeks ago I was informed that CIMA won't extend my contract due to certain issues unrelated to me - I can't go into further detail due to company policies, sorry 'bout that. So I started looking for a new job; told my supervisor at aerotek to start looking around for me cause I'll be jobless soon.

2) I get a call from him after 2 weeks saying that he won't need to look, because CIMAs thinking of hiring me. My supervisor at CIMA regrets to say that this information he gave me is false.

3) I get a call around the same time and same day as 2) from Pace Analytical. Pace Analytical is looking to have me go in for an interview at 3M. I would be working at 3M but as a Pace Analytical full-time. Pay is a buck less and though they claim that health care is included, it currently looks as if I will have to deduct it from my wonderfully low pay. Oh well, as long as I have the job.

4) I go do the interview, take a test and am informed the next day that I did great and got the job. Awesome, now I get to call Joel at Aerotek and tell him that I'm going to his competition. As expected he feels betrayed and I explain that I had to since he was incapable to getting me anything in the 2 weeks I gave him (usually it takes around 1 week if not less). Joel tells me he could have gotten me a place at 3M for 18 bucks an hour...WTF! Great, good job letting me know about it after I get a cheap position there already. I say sorry and go for the pace job anyways.

5) A week ago my supervisor at CIMA comes up to me and tells me that they have changed plans and are hoping that I would apply for a full-time position as a QA auditor. Ha! Right! After going through all this circus and getting my mind set on going back into the lab to do chem stuff I get this offer....OBVIOUSLY I rejected it. Anyways, I'm gonna leave my resume here in case I get in some bad situation or whatever. I think they like me and see me as a good worker.

So yeah, that's about it. I'm going to start working for the pharmaceutical formulations lab at 3M this coming Monday (20. Feb.06). Though I have to drive 1h20min everyday I'm looking forward to obtaining some new experiences and also getting to know some cool people. The next year ~ 2 years will be a bi*ch given the lower pay and longer drive. But hopefully this experience will help me get a better job at 3M or whatever other company...And I'm still hoping to get accepted at Dyneon 3M as a tech-services guy (nothing to do with computers...Well, hardly).

Otherwise I'm doing pretty swell. I was down in Northfield this weekend visiting Erin, Christian, Matt and Chris (ordered by the sequence in time). It was great to be back down there and even better to see all of them. I need to visit them a lot more! Funny though was that I bumped into the girl I was talking about in one of the earlier blog messages...Did I say anything to her? - NO! Why? - Because I'm too shy when it comes to people I'm sort of interested in. Meh, I'm sure I'll see her again...Maybe then.

Oh, and speaking of Olaf - this girl, Kelly Underkofler, that was in my art of music class is in the paralympics (btw. She is way beautiful - I'm sure Isaac can vouch for that). I don't know why, but I'm really excited for her (and NOT in a sexual way)! I don't know if they're showing it on TV, but if they are I'll round up a bunch of oles and cheer for her. Hope she has a great time in Italy while slave my ass of for 14 bucks an hour ;)

I guess this update got a little long, so hats off to you if you made it through. Otherwise...Well, you wouldn't be reading this so whatever...I like ur mom...Just kidding!

And for those that need pictures with somebody they may recognize...This is Brent. And...now he is a married man with a wonderful wife.
Alright, here is a pic for you media frenzy people, its a form the Hilton hotel in Minneapolis. The occasion was Brent's bachelor party...which I had to leave early thanks to my job :(

And so I slack again

I'm supposed to post an update with the job situation and what not, right? Well, that will have to wait again. Today I got off of work and went swimming. I was still planning on updating this blog, but then 40 laps does make oneself pretty tired. So I slept, woke up and had a brilliant idea! Why not drive down to Olaf and visit a couple of my friends?? So instead of updating this blog with the proper content, I goes down to Northfield...and not to forget a stop at the firehouse ;).

Speaking of Olaf though, there is this one girl that I've been interested for a while. Unfortunately I don't quite know her...yet (and the interest is solely in getting to know her...haven't had the other kind of interest...yet). She lived in Rand my senior year (as I did). From what I know she is a math major (thanks facebook!) and is way cute . Now, the issue is that I don't have any common friends with her. The only two people I can think of...that facebook thinks of...is Ross Kanaga and some other person. So yeah, Ross, if you're reading this please please give me call or leave a comment. Otherwise hopefullyI'll see her at the orchestra concert this march and have enough guts to walk up to her. Looks like I got a thing for girls that play classical instruments.

Alright, gotta go. Take care y'all!

ugh...too many updates to even give it an attempt

Alright, so a bunch of things have happend lately and I'm in need to update this journal. Unfortunately though, since I'm at work and 50% of the stuff I want to say would cause cans and cans of whoo0passes being opened on me I regret to inform that I'll have to wait till I get back home from work. And since I'm going to Lifetime to get some swimin' in it'll be after I get back and sleep for 6 or 7h. Whats another day huh? - esp. since its been a while since my last update. Hope y'all are doing well!

Eye candy at the end ;)

So tomorrow is going to be another one of those busy days that solely exist to defy my sleep routine. After getting off of work at 6am, I'll have to rush home so that I can get as much sleep as possible (esp since I'm almost falling asleep here at work). Then wake up at noon to take a shower, get my suit on and drive to maplewood...a 40min drive if I'm lucky otherwise more like 1h20min if it snows more. Ick!

The reason for driving over there is to have a wonderful interview with the happy Pace Analytical people who contract their workers to 3M. To be honest I'm really not looking forward to it. I'm at the point at which I'm contemplating wearing some wack clothes...like wearing my workout clothes or even better clothes that is ripped in shreds...or crossdress (too bad I don't have a gf). Why would I even think of such atrocities? Because I don't want the job...I even feel compelled to say that I'ld rather be jobless than to work for them. Not only do they pay less, but its less working with people and more working with machines. On top of that I'ld have to move out of the place I'm in right now and go back to St. Paul. I've started enjoying living in Minnetonka and am not really willing to move for a crappy job as such. But yeah, that's not how things work. I'm going to end up dressing up as I should and being there on time. Who knows, maybe the 3M people will like me to the point of directly hiring me.

Anyways, wish me luck I guess. After the interview I'll have to return to my place in Minnetonka, get some food, a nap and go to work again. 3rd shift is nice for going to interviews, but going to interviews you don't care all that much seems like a waste of time.

Btw. If this job ends up being not what I want and I don't get any other job by the time my contract runs out I may just go to German for a week or two...And maybe I'll be able to convince my parent's to help me out financially so that I can make a trip out to Japan. Haven't been there and reading Isaac's blog just makes me want to experience the country again. Given that I'm way older than I was the first time I lived there I'm sure it'll be a new and exciting time. Anyways, just a thought...

And this is from Brent Kudak's Wedding...calling it eye candy is wrong in the sense that it objectifies them, but I gotta say, Olaf does have beautiful people (or had?). Anyways, if I were in that picture it would have been even better and you know it!...right?
